1. Obtain the application form, guidelines to fill the application and pay-in voucher.

Obtaining the application form and related documents electronically:

· Download the pay-in voucher here.


    • Obtaining the application form by post (Local students only):
      Application forms, guidelines and pay-in voucher can be obtained by sending a bank receipt for Rs. 1000/= payable to Account No 057-100-160027421 of People’s Bank at any branch, with a self-addressed Rs. 30/= stamped envelopes to Assistant Registrar, PGIHD (Postgraduate Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences), University of Peradeniya, Peradeniya 20400.

    • Obtaining the application form in person:
      Application forms, guidelines and pay-in voucher can be obtained in person from the PGIHS, Faculty of Arts,  on production of a bank receipt for Rs. 1000/= payable to Account No 057-100-160027421 of People’s Bank at any branch.

2. Complete the application form, following the instructions in the provided guidelines.


3.  If you obtained the application form electronically, please do the following, if not, please go to the next step. Complete pay-in voucher and pay registration fee of Rs. 1000 at any branch of the People’s Bank Account No 057-100-160027421 of People’s Bank, obtain bank receipt.


4.   Mail completed application form and accompanying documents (and originals of pay-in voucher and bank receipt/deposit if you obtained the application electronically) along with three self-addressed Rs. 30/= stamped envelopes by registered post to
